A large hangar at the Alameda Airport in 1935. From the newer sheetmetal on the bottom portions of the hangar, it is deduced that this is the hangar that was raised up to allow for the greater heights necessary to service the China Clipper seaplanes that flew from Alameda to Hawaii and China. [cf 2001.1.65] Two automobiles are center, near the apron, and one is at the left edge.
