The Tribune photo, dated July 25, 1986, has the following caption on the back: "THESE PILOTS ARE WINGING IT ..............Pilot Bob Oliver of the Tahoe Aces did stunts [too]. Each day the airshow, sponsored by the Wings of Charity, begins with a pancake breakfast. Aerial acts begin about noon. Daily admission is $7 for adutls, and $2 for children between ages 6 and 13." In this photo, the biplane appears to be flying upside down, trailing smoke from its fuselage to enhance the view from spectators on the ground. Its wings are decorated in a checkerboard design.
