The Tribune photo, dated July 21, 1989, has the following caption on the back: " A free preview of the 20th annual Livermore Airshow thrilled crowds of disabled veterans and other guests on Wednesday. Above, Jerry Davis of Castro Valley does acrobatics in his biplane........... The big show, highlighted by by stunt flying, races, and exhibits, will be Saturday and Sunday, 1-4 p.m. at Livermore Municipal Airport off Interstae 580........... Antique, military, and experimental aircraft will be on display at the airport............." Davis's biplane is flying upside down, with smoke issuing from the fuselage. Mt Diablo is in the right background at about the same elevation as the plane. The photo is taken from a plane flying in tandem with Davis's plane.
