Premis: Semper Fi' is a comic series about the US Marines role in various American conflicts. It follows one family, the Whittiers (who have been Marines since 1775), thru their experiences. Story One: "REUNION" The first issue introduces us to the Whittier family- Marines since 1775- in Hue, during the Tet Offensive of 1968. It then flashes forward to a Marine reunion, and to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. Story Two: "Beachhead" Marines in WWII at the Island of Betio- a three day battle Cover: The image is of a US Marine laying behind a crumbling wall, on the other side of which there are North Vietnamese troops running, armed. The Marine has his gun by his leg, and is pulling the pin out of a hand grenade. The Marvel sign in the upper left corner, is in the shape of a rectangle with the price, date and the Comic Code stamp, it also includes an image of a Marine in dress blues, the background color varies with no signifigance, below on the bottom left corner in a box with a black and white spiderman mask.
