Premis: Semper Fi' is a comic series about the US Marines role in various American conflicts. It follows one family, the Whittiers (who have been Marines since 1775), thru their experiences. Each issue includes two stories, each of different battles in different times. Story One: "Photos in the Attic" A Vietnam Vet (a Whittier of course) is forced to remember his first day in country when his daughter finds his old photos, letters and uniform. Story Two: "Sea Assault" 1779, the Revolutionary War, battles by sea. Cover: Image of soldiers humping the boonies with weapons raised, and a tank passing thru- it is smoking as though it has been hit. The Marvel sign in the upper left corner, is in the shape of a rectangle with the price, date and the Comic Code stamp, it also includes an image of a Marine in dress blues, the background color varies with no signifigance, there is also a balck and white spiderman swinging from a web-rope on the lower left corner.
