Sheet music is white paper, with the music printed in black. Printed in olive color and yellow, the front page has the title, composers, and publisher, and shows a cartoon image of the head and shoulders of a man and a woman surrounded by oranges against a background of orange leaves. At the lower right corner of the front page is a photographic image of a seven-piece band, which is identified as Joe Candullo's S.S. Everglades Orchestra. The composers are Clarence Gaskill and Lew Brown, and it was published by Skidmore Music Co., Inc. A: front and back pages, B: middle page. Additional verses to the song are printed on the inside front cover, and four of these portray racial stereotypes of immigrant groups, mimicking accents and mannerisms of immigrants from Ireland, Italy, England, and 'Hebrew' immigrants. Perhaps this song was written in response to agricultural competition between California and Florida, because both states have a large orange-producing agricultural industry (note the 'S.S. Everglades Orchestra.')
