36-page, staple-bound appliance booklet accompanied the 1950 GE Space Maker refrigerator. It contains instructions on where to place various types of food within the refrigerator for optimum cooling, defrosting the refrigerator, and how to keep the refrigerator clean. The booklet also contains several recipes for refrigerated foods, such as sandwiches. A: booklet, B: 1-page insert, "When the weather is hot and humid." Cover depicts a 'mother and daughter' in look-alike dresses and aprons--an image which was pushed by the popular media during this period.
