Cape is black polyester twill. When laid flat, cape is a half-circle. Appliqued in the shoulder area is a piece of black polyester knitted jersey which has an all-over applique of black suede in a filigree design. The jersey applique is edged with a 1/8" diameter black rayon cord; the applique curves over the shoulders and comes to a point in the center back. The cape ties at the neck with two pieces of black grosgrain ribbon. These were possibly added after the movie was filmed and before the cape was sent to auction. In "The Mask of Zorro," Antonio Banderas wears the cape with with two silver-colored brooches with red stones and a length of chain between them to close the cape at the center front neck. Cape is a costume worn by actor Antonio Banderas in the 1998 movie "The Mask of Zorro," made by Amblin Entertainment and TriStar Pictures. Cape was designed by the costume designer for the film, Graciela Mazon. "The Mask of Zorro" starred Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
