On the inside cover of Storm Warning! a letter the readers is as follows:Storm Warning! is the publication of Vietnam Veterans Agains the War Anti-Imperialist (VVAW AI)*. We are part of a ntwork of anti-imperialist veterans who are proud of our resistance to U.S. aggression in South East Asia. We take pride in knowing that GI's and vets' opposition to that war contributed to the eventual well-deserved defeat of the U.S.We know that the people of S.E.Asia were the true heros of the war, and we reject all attempts by the rulers of this country to honor us for our role as terrorisrs for the,. We believe that all efforts to "honor the Warrior" are rewriting history in preparation for regional and global war.The world we live in today is like a grenade with the pin pulled. Nobody knows where it will pop off next/ Another bombing of Libya? An invasion of Nicaragua? A sea battle in the Persian Gulf? "Defense" is always the excuse, and the battle cry is "Keep America #1!"In the 1970's to be a Vietnam Veteran was to be against the war. That is a proud legacy that must be carried forward and built on. As veterans, we have been to the edge and seen the viciousness of Amerikkka unmasked. e have no doubt that the bastards who sent us to war will use their nuclear arsenals along with their unspeakably cruel conventional weapons to maintain the empire.VVAW AI has vowed to bring the lessons we paid for with blood into direct opposition to the war preparations by all imperialist powers, East and West. We will be the vets that we wish had been at our high schools when we donned the green uniforms we learned to hate. We learned there is no glory in murder, no excuse in obedience, and no future in patriotism. If we have to fight or die, let it be for the world, not the warlords. Let us find our glory in stopping the murder and destruction! We call on other vets to read, distribute, and contribute to Storm Warning! Become apart of our Veterans Network.**VVAW AI is not affiliated with Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Inc.
