Aviator trousers, or jodhpurs, are brown leather, and are lined in brown cotton sateen. Fly front, no waistband. Short slit at ankle, with a long flap with an eyelet and ecru leather cord, presumably to wrap around boot and tie securely. Leather cord at proper left ankle is missing. Trousers were found in a closet in the home of Elmer and Helen Bertelsen. Dr. Bertelsen was a dentist who lived and practiced in Oakland. Who might have used the trousers is unknown.
