This is an abbreviated pair of swim trunks for an adult male. Although they date c. 1960, the low rise cut at the top, and the high cut of the legs is very avant guard for the time; the suit is of knitted wool khaki on either side, with a panel of navy blue in the center front and the center back. The garment, a brief, fits snugly without cords, ties or inner facings of any sort. The suit, designed by Rudi Gernreich was made by Harmon Knitwear and sold by Bundy's in Long Beach.
