Image shows Alvarez, in a pinstriped robe, playing the guitar. There are two captions pasted on the back: a) Free Man's Relaxation Lt. Cmdr. Everett Alvarez Jr., the longest held pilot of an American war, relaxes between doctor's appointments at the Oakland Naval Hospital by playing on his sister Delia's guitar. He returned from a North Vietnamese POW camp last Friday. b) Lieutenant Commander Everett Alvarez, Jr., relaxes with an old aquaintance in his room at the Oakland Nacal Hospital. Commander Alvarez found time between doctor's appointments to play "Cielito Lindo" on his sister Delia's guitar after returning from a North Vietnamese prisoner-of-war camp February 16th.
