The image shows Tangee Alvarez sitting on her couch holding a framed photogrpah of husband Everett. There are two captions pasted on the back of the image, that read:
a) Mrs. Alvarez holds photo of husband Everett, captured by North Vietnamese five years ago. -August 1, 1969.
b) Another holdiay alone for Tangee Alvarez. Her husband is the longest held American POW. -December 24, 1969
Everett Alvarez was the longest held POW during the Vietnam War- of any POW in any American war.
