Iconic to Ironic: Fashioning California Identity, Mar. 15, 2003 to Sept. 21, 2003

Typed at the bottom of the image, "Fashion Misfit, Accoring to College Students. The student pictured above has made several fashion faux pas, according to the Levi's 501 Report, a national survey of 1,000 college students. Stirrup pants, torn-neck t-shirts and rhinestones are ll considered 'out,' say students. The 'in' list includes oversized sweaters, Levi's 501 jeans and sweats." Photo shows a young woman posing as she sits on a railing with one knee bent up and resting on the top of the railing. She's wearing dark stirrup pants with a leapord print off-the-shoulder t-shirt and a belt around her waist. She has a lace, finger-less glove on her left hand and bangle bracelets on both wrists. Her hair is done up in a high pony tail on top of her head. Found in Tribune envelope marked "Fashion, 1988."
