Iconic to Ironic

Tribune caption on the back, April 28, 1974, "It was a great night for navel-watchers at the Pointer show. Bare midriffs, with belly buttons framed in satin, swirls and veils, were common in the funky crowd. So were flowered fancies for teh men of the audience, along with a high-styled variety of hatwear." Photos shows a couple walking arm-in-arm toward the camera. The man, on the right side is wearing a flower print suit with button shirt and wide tie. He has a thick beard and is wearing a hat with wide brim. The woman, on the left side, is wearing wide-legged silk trousers with a shirt tied in a knot at her waist. A shawl is hanging over her right shoulder and she has a band of flowers in her hair.
