Exhibited in the Sportswear section of "Iconic to Ironic: Fashioning California Identity," Great Hall, Oakland Museum of California March 15 - September 21, 2003.

Adult woman's black bathing suit, made of wool plain weave, and trimmed with two bands of small white and black braid around the short puffed sleeves, and the square neck. The bathing suit has attached bloomers and a belt that buttons in the front. Originally this costume would have been worn with black stockings (not a part of the existing costume, and bathing shoes, also not part of the existing costume). Worn by donor's grandmother.
