Tribune caption on the back, April 8, 1945-- "On their way for a joust with rake and spade in the Victory Garden? Come again, pals. They're bound for the dance moderne- 'Kangaroo Hop' to some 300 University High teenagers who checked in for the low-senior 'blowout' in the gym, that was transformed into the 'land down under' for the affair, last Friday night. From left to right this vanguard of revelers includes Barbara Perkins, Pat Brown, Adelheid Saag, Mary Reeder, Joyce Strong, Nancy Saag, Bette Stockholm and Jane Parker.- Photo by T.L. Ellsworth." Photo shows the girls posing in a row, front to back all holding up their pants and smiling over their left shoulders at the camera. All of them are wearing some sort of denim, either overalls or jeans with plaid shirts. Two are wearing loafers while the rest are wearing saddle shoes. Found in Tribune envelope marked "Fashion, 1940-1949."
