Caption pasted on the back reads "He was probably named Donald de Viveiros, but to his proud mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard de Viveiros, nurses and doctors at Merritt Hospital, and members of the Oakland Baseball Club, he is known as 'the little shortstop.' When he was born Wednesday, his first present was a baseball autographed by Han McDonald winning pitcher of the day. The Oaks figure 'the little shortstop' will bring them luck." Photo shows DeViveiros with his wife and newborn baby. He is handing the baby a baseball. It looks like they might be in the maternity ward, as his wife is in bed.
