Two-piece Vietnamese costume ( a) shirt, b) trousers) used in the film "We Were Soldiers" which is about the Battle of the Ia Drang Valley which took place in November 1965. The costume is meant to represent the clothing worn in Vietnam at the time of the war. A Certificate of Authenticity came with the costume certifing that it had been used during the production of the movie. a) Black cotton collar-less shirt with raglan sleeves that buttons down the front with 5 black plastic buttons. Markings for the button holes are still visible down the front which probably indicates that the costume was never washed. b) Black, loose fitting, draw-string trousers. Size "M" tag on both the shirt and pants.
