North of Market Senior Services is a joint project of San Francisco's Department of Public Health and the private, non-profit organization, North of Market Senior Services. From it's key location in the Tenderloin, NOMSS provides community-based medical and social support to low-income and frail elderly residents.NOMSS was founded, in 1972, by Dr. Curry during his service as the Director of the Department of Public Health.in order to meet the need of seniors.
