"What's Going On? California and the Vietnam Era" Exhibition at the Great Hall, August 28, 2004-February 28, 2005.

Zippo cigarette lighter, made of metal with a flint and wick mechanism. On the front of the body it is stamped with a peace sign with the word "peace" under it. On the cover in the front is stamped "Phan Thiet 67-68." On the back it says "Is a year shortened as a day? Then I'll go home soon." It is stamped at the bottom with the registered mark "Zippo, Bradford, PA. Pat 2517191." This lighter was purchased in Vietnam as a soldier's lighter, but it may not be authentic from the 60's era, as many were embellished for the tourist trade.
