The form letter, from President Richard Nixon to mr. Don Ringler of Tracy CA, is a standard letter that was sent in response to letters received by the White House protesting the war in Vietnam.
a) The White envelope: In the return address corner is printed THE WHITE HOUSE, in the center is the postmark from Wahington D.C. on Jan. 27, 1970, and in the right hand corner is a six cent stamp (showing the white house and the American Flag).
The address reads:

8789 Fair Oaks Rd
Tracy, CA
b) The form letter is a one-sided, cream card with the presidential seal in gold, in the upper-cenet. In script, it reads:
"Your support in our pursuit of peace in Vietnam means a great deal to me. Although the vast volume of mail that has poured into my office makes it impossible for me to send you a personal reply, I want you to know how pleased I was to hear from you and how much I appreciate your thoughtful concern for our country. signed Richard Nixon."
