Woman seated in upholstered chair looking at camera doing needlework. She is in Chinese silk coat/dress with flower pattern, weaing a large ring on each hand and a watch on her left wrist. Her hair is is in waves close to the head. Wall behind has wallpaper with a floral pattern and a heat register near the floor. There is a panel with three buttons just to the firt of her head. .
