From back of photo: "Candidate for Alaco. school Board, June 1956; Mrs. March K. Fong, Oakland. Fong 1 col. May 1956" Published head shot of Mrs. Fong cut from newspaper with caption "Mrs. March K. Fong." Written: Alaco. School Bd. Stamped: TRD Jun 6 1956. The actual photo has her head "highlighted" or "boxed" off with a very light blue mixture. Mrs. Fong is seated with both hands on a desk. She is wearing a light-colored suit with dark accent pieces at each cuff, the collar and on each side of the neck that come down from the neck. There are three buttons, with color accents in the middle, in the photo. She is smiling and wears lipstick. Her dark hair is apparently short (off the neck) but full on top. She is also wearing earrings -- the left one is visible. On the ring finger of her right hand is a wring with a round stone. On her left hand is she also wearing a ring with some sort of stone. Mrs. Fong is holding a pencil that has an eraser added to the top. She is looking at the camera with her right hand about midpage on the first piece of (white) paper in a dark report folder (3-hole punched paper inside). To her right is a black telephone with a 7 curls of the cord showing. Behind Mrs. Fong on the wall is a framed work of art. It appears to have Chinese characters on the left side and is a photograp of a bird sitting on a brach above a flower. The art work is probably in color as it has many shades of dark and light. To the right of this there is another frame but the framed object is not visible.
