From back of photo: "Assemblywoman March Fong, October 1969 - Oct 20, 1969." This appears to be a formal photograph. Ms. Fong is seated at a library table -- there are many shelves of books behind her of the type that contain official records. She is wearing a black/navy dress with a high neckline and 3/4 sleeves. She is also wearing three strands of white pearls that graduate in size -- smallest at the unseen clasp to very large in the front then smaller back to the clasp. Her left hand is over her right hand. On her left ring finger are what appear to be two rings: a narrow gold band and the other with a large square stone (diamond?) that sits above the band. She is looking directly at the photographer and smiling. She is wearing a dark shade of lipstick. Her dark hair covers her ears and is in a smooth bouffant/ teased full style.
