There are two newspaper captions on the back of the photo. One reads "Mrs. Eyu needs a place to Entertain. the governor's mansion beats restaurants. April 9, 1976" Th eother reads: "March Fong Eu held a reception, Jan. 7. 1975." Head and showders of a woman looking down and smiling. Her teeth are showing. Her dark hair is done in a bouffant/teased style and is below her ears. She has bangs covering one-third of her brow. She appears to be wearing dark false eyelashes. Her top is a light-colored turtleneck sweater -- the collar appears to be folded in half -- with a string of pearls of even size. She is also wearing a dark jacket with wide lapels in a herringbone pattern. From the back of the photo: "March Fong, Secy State. March Fong Eu, 3" wide x 6 3/4" 1st Fri - pg. 10 *50* (18.3 picas). March Fong Eu 1 col. x 4" p. 11 1st Tues *45*."
