They are slightly leaning toward one another and have neutral expressions. Mrs. Fong is on the right side of the photo. Her dark hair is done in the bouffant/teased style and she has sweeping banks above her right eye. She is wearing gold hoop earrings that extend from a button on her ear lobes. She is wearing a double breasted light colored suit with dark buttons and a dark belt with light colored piping. The belt may tie around the waist or has pieces that wind around it. Her blouse has a high collar with a dark piece matching the belt in the middle of the collar in front. (Dark piece with light colored piping.) The suit has wide/large lapels. On her left lapel she is waring a name tag "Merritt College - March Fong - Official." On her right hand she is wearing an oval-link bracelet and rings on her third and ring fingers. One of the rings apears to be a large round stone. The right hand appears to be resting on papers in her lap. Dr. Smith is on the left side of the photo. His hair is a conservative Afro. He is wearing a dark colored suit that has 3 buttons on his right sleeve, light colored button-down shirt and diagonally striped tie. His right hand rests on his right knee. He is wearing dark-rimed glasses and is looking across Mrs. Fong. The top of his name tag is just visible above his right wrist. In the back of the photo is a man. His right profile is barely visible. He is in a drk sweater/top with a white color showing above the neckline. He has a receding hair line but his hair is otherwise full. There is a sign to his left and behind Mrs. Fong that is not readable. From back of photo: "Fong 3 col x 6 7/8" ... with story."
