From back of photo: Article text: "Mothers' March - California Secretaqry of State March Fong Eu will be chairwoman for the Alameda County Mothers' March against birth defects. Janu 12, 1977" Also on back" March 2 col x Page 2 - RSA Wed (410) no story." Formal/publicity photo of a Chinese American woman smiling and looking into the distance. She has a curly boufant hair style with bangs. She is wearing a sleeveless print dress. At the neck is a tie of the same material and print tied with a knot (not bow) and extending from the neck to mid chest. An earring is visible on her left ear under her hair. Her arms are down and behind her back. Behind and at the bottom of the photo appear to be a row of flowers. Behind her and on the left side of the photo are the leaves of a tree. To the right of the leaves is the State Captiol building in Sacramento, CA. It is a very large multi-storied structure in white or other light color. There are steps at the borrom where at least four people are visible. The bottom level hs four tall arched entrances. The next level is two stories as shown by windows on top of one another and large double doos behind six slender columns. The space between the columns and windows/wall probably is a balcony. The six columns are topped by a flat triangular piece with sculptures/frescos. Above this triangle is a multistored dome. The first levell has columns all around - 10 are visible - and tall windows. There appears to be a walkway in this section around the between the columns and wall with windows. Above this is a smaller round area with tall slender windows - about 10 discernible. Above this is the actual dome in a dark color with accents/support beams radiating down from the top. Above the colored dome is a small structure verticle strucutre that has a pole on top. To the right of the Capitol are tall trees - one of which may be a palm tree. The others appear to be of a different variety. Under the trees are flowers.
