Oval cast iron piece (tool?, paperweight?) with a flat bottom and a tapered top. It has a round handle on top at center. The letters "S" and "P" are on each side of the handle. On the flat side it has a paper adhered which is very deteriorated. Handwritten on the paper it reads "From the San Francisco Fire, April 18(?), 1906..." Other writing is illegible except at bottom where it reads "California."This piece is from the Southern Pacific Railroad and was damaged on the 1906 San Franciso Fire.
