Tom Hayden (1939 - ) was a co-founder of Students for a Democratic Society in 1962; he was one of the "Chicago Seven", arrested for protesting at the Democratic convention in 1968; he served in the State Assembly from Santa Monica from 1982-1992 and in the Senate from 1992-2000; he was formerly married to the actress Jane Fonda.
