Wood oar with small handle, painted orange, to be used in the rescue boats. On the paddle it has stencilled: " Gen. N.M. Walker." It comes from the US Navy Ship General Nelson M. Walker. The last transports done by the ship before it was taken out of service was to bring troops from Vietnam in 1967. This is a collection of artifacts found on the ship after it was taken out of service.
