Commemoration program (a) and envelope (b) given to employees of the Pre-Fab yard at Kaiser Shipyards in Richmond. On the front cover is "To the Employees of the Permanente Metals Corporation for a job Well Done." In the bottom right corner is a graphic image of a liberty ship with "The Permanente Metals Corporation Richmond, California" printed around it. Inside, on the right hand page is a colorized image of a liberty ship with the caption "The last of 519 Libety Ships from the Permanente Metals Corporation joins the fleet." On the opposite page are the signatures of all the people who worked at the Pre-Fab Yard with the lender on the graveyard shift. The lender had written at the top of the page "Property of Ed Carrasco" in bold letters with "Eddie Carrasco, drills 1944" under it. Most of the people who signed listed their job after their name, i.e. "Gertie Sears 'Dirty Gertie' tool room." On the envelope that the program came in the lender has written "1944 Richmond, Calif., Kaiser Shipyards, Pre-Fab, photo- Liberty Ship, signed by fellow workers graveyard shift including by girlfriend that became my wife- Kate Cruz- we were both 20 years old-- Eddie Carrasco."
