"What's Going On? California and the Vietnam Era" Exhibition at the Great Hall, August 28, 2004-February 28, 2005.

Cap, made of white cotton with a navy blue visor, blue embroidered eyelets; stamped on the front in red letters: "Stand Down, 2002, Vietnam Veterans of San Diego." Distributed at Stand Down in 2002. Stand Down (military jargon for relaxing time) is an organization that houses and services homeless war veterans three days and two nights a year. Inculded in the services are medical check ups, AIDS information, information of Federal Benefits, hair cuts, manicures, clothing, etc. Many Vietnam Veterans attend this event.
