Notes written on back of photo: "Dragon dancing in doorway of gas station at Webster & 8th." New Year, Chinese" Feb 5 1994. Photo taken from inside gas station building through the doorway looking out at the dragon. The doorframe is visible on either side. Just in fron of the doorway and dragon is an area of small rectangular tiles -- as opposed to what could be the concrete area on either side of it. In the middle of the doorway is the face of the dragon/lion. It is multicolored. The mouth is open and the lower row of painted teeth, white, are visible as well as the tongue, dark color, that is an oval with three extensions of "wings" on either side. The face has two nosrils on either side of a decorated center nose. The eyes on either side are wide open and are trimmed in white with a dark designs. The eye brows are feathery additions and in the middle of the head sits a light colored "crown". Two legs in dark pants hold up the head. The dragon's body is behind the head and some of it drags on the ground. On the left side of the photo, behind the dragon, are several people watching the dance. Behind them are several parked cars, a large dark building with slanted roof and a tall tree. On the right side of the dragon are several more people watching the dance. One is leaning against a parked car. There is a (probably) Union 76 logo on a tall polel visible above the head of one of these men. Behind them is an intersection.
