From original caption on back: "This is Curtis Flood, the 16-year-old Technical High School student who has major and minor league baseball scouts literally drooling. Young Foold is a center fielder. He plays on the Tech team and with the fast E. Berkovich & Sons semi-pro club in the Alameda Winter League. Curtis can do everything on a baseball diamond- field, run throw and hit. A brilliant future is predicted for the boy. (See on Second Thought)." Flood is bending to catch a ball and is wearing a uniform with a cap with a "B" on the front.
