The clasped hands are a symbol of the "Together We Build," the "K" stands for Kaiser (Kaiser industries) and the 5 means that this is a five year pin.

Helen Gibbs, to whom was awarded this pin, retired as an Executive Secretary from Kaiser Engineering.
