This wool twill hat has a white plastic bill. The crown of the hat is blue, the edge piped in red. The sides of the hat are red wool twill. There's a white felt patch on the front with crossed american and Norwegian flags embroidered in red, blue and white. Also the letters "D. of N." are embroidered in blue. Across the front is a double cord decoration (knotted on either side of the felt patch, and fastened to the hat at either end with a brass button, decorated with an anchor. Two white metal gromets on either side for ventilation.

Presently it is unknown who wore this cap; perhaps the team leader, or it might have been worn at a different date.
