A: Jacket of pink satin, all edges trimmed with blue satin. Fastens down the front with four loop and knot closures; small spiral "frog" on either side of closure. Embroidered on both sides of the front, and center back with a blue dragon (four toes) trying to catch the pearl of wisdom. Blue embroidery on sleeves. B: Trousers of matching pink satin, elastic across the back of the waist; the front has a slightly dropped yoke, which is piped in blue. Each leg, at the hem, as four gussets of blue satin, embroidered in white, showing the dragon with the pearl of wisdom. The hem of the trousers is scalloped.

Bette Chinn Dare, the donor, remembers wearing this outfit for Halloween one year when she was in the fourth or fifth grade in Oakland. Her mother, Mary Chinn, purchased it for her in Chinatown, San Francisco.
