This is a 305 page book of recepies and commentary by Alice B. Toklas of San Francisco, partner of Gertrude Stein, writer from Oakland. The pair lived mostly in Paris and maintained a Bohemian lifestyle. Most of these recepies are from their entertaining there. Included is the notorious "haschich fudge." PCK
