A-B: a small metallic gold paper box. A: Is the lid decorated with an oval of multi-colored flowers on the top. B: Is the bottom of the box, textured metallic gold on the outside and white on the inside. The box contains: C-F. C: Paper package of needles, black paper with white label printed "R. Hemming & Sons, Royal Drill-eyed Sharps, 5; warranted not to cut in the eye." Package is decorated with a lion and a unicorn; needles in package. D: Paper package of needles, black paper, white label "R. Hemming & Sons, Royal Drilled-eye Sharps, 3; warranted not to cut in the Eye;" package, decorated with a lion and a unicorn contains needles. E: Paper package of needles, black paper, tan label "Queen Crewel English Made Needles, 6, Patent Wrappers, T. Harper, Manufacturer, Redditch;" package, decorated with the image of a griffen contains needles. F: Paper package of needles, black paper, white label "C. Sschleicher, Sharps, Elliptic" and is decorated with an eagle; contains needles.

The "sharps" would have been used for "sewing" whereas the Crewel needles would have been used to do crewel embroidery.
