This is a creame colored, twill weave, tweed suit. A: Jacket is short with 3/4 length raglan sleeves. It has an open collar and fastens down the front with three large buttons; the buttons appear to be of fine plastic, imitating horn. The jacket is completely lined with a beige crepe. The two darts from the waist, as well as the bottom edge are trimmed with a matching welt stitch, including a slit on either side of the jacket (at the hem). The tailored collar lays back on either side. B: Skirt matches jacket and has a half lining only in the back. The waistband fastens with a single clear yellow plastic button (on the left) above a set in metal zipper. Kick pleat at center back; two darts in the front and two in the back.

This suit, worn by Lucille Ball on the "I Love Lucy" television show, probably would have been worn with gloves that extended over the wrist (with or cream colored) and pearls or a double or triple string of costume jewelry beads in cream color, beige glass/plastic or natural wood. If jewelry was not worn, then a scarf of a contrasting color might have been used to fill in the neckline.
