Gift of Charlie and Norma Kruse

Black and white, gelatin silver, photograph mounted on dark gray board. Subject of the image is the Oakland Oakes Baseball Team: 14 players are standing in their uniforms with an "O" on the left chest, all of their collars are turned up. Most have gloves or mitts; they all appear to be wearing matching socks or leggings, but there is little consistency in the style of shirt they wear under their uniform. All wear matching baseball caps. To the proper right of the team, a man wearing a three piece suit, shirt, tie and boller is visible. Higher in the image background is a boy (perhaps 11 or 12) wearing a jacket and a hat, who is holding on to the fence.

Donor's Grandfather, Charlie "Buck" Franck, was the team captain. In this photograph he is fifth from the right.
