This sock-puppet was one of the cutest casualties of the dot.com bust of the early 21st Century. The puppet was featured in the advertising for Pets.com, an internet company which offered people the opportunity to buy pet supplies online. The puppet, performed by Michael Ian Black, gained cult status and widespread popularity during the dot.com boom through 1999 and 2000. Pets.com's advertising slogan was, "because pets can't drive." When the company went bankrupt in 2000, this unnamed sock puppet became an orphan. In 2002, Hakan licensed it to an automotive loan company called 1-800-BAR-NONE. The puppet's new slogan was: "Everybody deserves a second chance."
