'THE SHOP' - painted BL

Watercolor painting on paper with graphite depicts the Mother Lode Barber Shop in Sonora, California. A white clapboard house with a white picket fence is centered on the page. The front part of the building has a large row of windows through which a female figure is seen working on the hair of a seated figure. A male figure in a blue-collar shirt is visible through the open door also working on the hair of a seated figure. Signs for "The Mother Lode Barber Shop" appear on the outside of the building above the row of windows and above the doorway. A large green bush appears to the right of the building and a dirt road is partially visible in front of the building along the lower edge of the page.
