Model of a United States Air Force C-119 Cargo plane that first flew in 1947 and was produced until 1955. It was used for dropping cargo and personnel by parachute. It is a twin engine model with two metal propellers at front extending to two connected tails at back. Airplane model is made of wood that has been painted silver. Windows are represented by blue-green squares at front and circles on the sides. Flaps are painted onto wings. There is a small plastic dome on top at front of plane. Air Force star emblems are attached to top of proper left wing, underside of proper right wing and on outside sides of both engines. On the underside of the plane there is an unfinished rectangle with a hole for attaching to a base. (The aircraft is a Fairchild Company plane, some of which were built under contract by the Kaiser-Frazer Corp.) PCK
