Control wheel from a Douglas DC-4/6 four-engine propeller airliner of the World War II and post-War era (1938-1954). Wheel has a radio control button on the left and an autopilot button on the right. A Douglas logo spinner is located in the center. Wheel was used to bank the plane left or right, and to control up and down movements as well. Made from aluminum covered with rubber and plastics. Douglas was founded by Donald Douglas, and was based in Santa Monica, California.
