From back of photograph: "New Year, Chinese". An ornately styled Chinese lion costume in the street (although none of its operators can be seen through the darkness). The lion has the usual elaborate decorations, covered in sequins and embroidery. Fuzzy pomons are perched above the lion's nose and all over the rest of its body. The snout and eyebrows are covered by a mane-like fringe. It also sports a "beard" on its chin, while further to the rear elaborate cloths cover the dragon's back and hang down the sides. There is a partial street sign in the background, but the specific street of the parade cannot be determined.
