From caption on the back of photograph: "The traditions of 56 years marked graduation exercises yesterday at The Anna Head School in Berkeley. This panoramic scene shows the processional of the white-gowned seniors through the campus for the rose ceremony, during which they were showered with petals by the junior girls. Diplomas were presented by the headmaster, Lieut. Comdr. T. R. Hyde, USNR, and Mrs. Leo G. Hyde, acting principal." Four long lines of graduating high school seniors are walking in a processional down a road through the campus. All the graduates are female, and they all wear formal white dresses. Many carry bouquets of flowers; others seem to be holding a long line of white ribbon down the line. Some onlookers are watching from the side of the road, probably parents or teachers judging from their formal attire and happy expressions. The campus itself is decorated with flowers and greenery all along both sides of the road.
