From caption on back of photograph: "College of Holy Names graduates leave the hall after receiving their degrees in graduation ceremonies held yesterday. Mayor Joseph E. Smith delivered the principal address." Female graduates of the College of Holy Names proceed down the steps of a campus building. All are dressed in academic cap and gown. They are carrying the degrees they just recieved in black folders. There are a few non-graduates visible at the top of the stairs.
