Three aircraft (a monoplane and two biplanes) are parked in the foreground while another biplane is taxiing or parked in the distance. Three 1920s' vintage vehicles are parked near the airplanes. Several groups of men are standing around the scene talking to each other. There appears to be a strip of paved land in the foreground, but the actual airfield looks to be entirely unpaved grass until it hits the water.
